Aerofont

Privacy Policy

Aerofont is a voice keyboard that turns your speech into polished text. This policy explains what data the Aerofont apps (iOS and Android) and the aerofont.com website handle, and what they deliberately do not do.

Voice and audio

  • Speech recognition runs on your device. Your audio never leaves your phone unless you explicitly turn on the optional Aerofont cloud mode.
  • Audio is never stored by us, in any mode.

Recognized text and cloud polishing

  • Recognized text stays on your device unless you use the optional cloud polishing (AI) mode.
  • Before any text is sent, the app asks for your explicit consent in a dedicated dialog, and you can withdraw that consent at any time in the app's AI settings. Until you consent (or after you withdraw it), recognized text is never sent anywhere.
  • In cloud mode, the recognized text is sent to the Aerofont backend and forwarded to an AI language model provider to produce the polished result. The text is not stored on our servers after your request completes.
  • Text is processed through OpenRouter by AI model providers that operate under zero-data-retention and no-training policies (currently including DeepInfra and SiliconFlow; the current list: openrouter.ai/docs/features/privacy-and-logging). We confirm that these providers provide the same or equal protection for your data as described here.
  • We do not use your voice or text for advertising, profiling, or model training.

Account and subscription

  • Signing in with Google or Apple is optional and only needed for the subscription plan. We receive your account email address to identify your subscription across devices.
  • We store your account email, subscription status, and an aggregate count of AI token usage per account, which is used to operate subscription limits. We do not store your recognized text.
  • Purchases and renewals are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play). We never see or store your payment card details.

Security and integrity

  • Apps are verified with Apple App Attest / Google Play Integrity to prevent abuse of the service. This involves device integrity signals, not the content of your usage.
  • All network traffic uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).

What we do not do

  • No ads.
  • No analytics or third-party tracking SDKs.
  • No selling or sharing of personal data.
  • The aerofont.com website itself collects nothing — no cookies, no analytics, no tracking.

Account deletion

You can delete your Aerofont account directly in the app at any time: Account → Delete Account, then confirm the deletion dialog.

Upon deletion we permanently remove from our servers: your account record (including the sign-in email and first-login IP), all linked sign-in identities, your login sessions, and your usage records. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it in your system settings (App Store / Google Play) to avoid further charges.

We retain a minimal set of anonymized records after deletion: subscription transaction records with the receipt removed (so a re-download and sign-in can restore your subscription and it keeps renewing correctly), and irreversible device/identity fingerprints (hashes that cannot be traced back to you or your device) used solely to prevent abuse of the free trial. Recognized text is never stored, and audio is never uploaded, so there is nothing else to delete. Billing history remains with Apple or Google under their own retention policies.

Children

Aerofont is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the effective date above.
